Prior to implantation
There is a consultation examination prior to the implantation in which the dentist determines a treatment plan. Additionaly, you will talk to your dentist personally about all possible solutions. Part of this plan includes a time schedule of the treatment, a special CBCT examination, and a financial calculation of the procedure. The calculation is personalized for each patient in accordance with patient’s teeth condition.
Implantation process
The implant is part of construction imitating the tooth canal and is completely hidden in the bone. The implant has a hollow with a screw in it, to which the superstructre of the implant, the so-called abutment, is screwed in. The abutment is the part of the tooth over the gums to which the crown is then attatached. The crown on the implant can be temporary or permanent, made from ceramic.
Implant structure
The implant consists of 3 parts.
- The implant
- The abutment (superconstruction – support)
- The crown
The goal
The goal of the implant is to provide an above-standard solution, to renew teeth funcionality and esthetics using fixed components – not removable dentures (prosthesis). The implant best imitates your own tooth, thus helping to give patients their smile back.
